Hands up, who bought all the bread baking gear last year in lockdown one, only to turn out flat, solid-as-a-rock sourdoughs that were good for nothing other than propping up that dodgy kitchen table leg?
This time around, save yourselves the misery - some things (romantic as the home-baker idea may seem) - are best left to the professionals.
We are blessed to have the Evendine Sourdough Bakery on our doorstep; Aleksandra moved to the UK from Poland, leaving a great big sourdough-shaped hole in her heart, so she launched her bakery near Malvern and has been delighting her customers ever since.
Aleksandra uses other fantastic local businesses in her baking: the flours hail from Gloucestershire’s Shipton Mill, salt is sent from Droitwich Salt and water is sourced from the Evendine Spring on the Malvern Hills.
